Dear all people: This week was great!! Yokkaichi is the bomb. My new companion's name is Elder Hogan. He's from Draper and is on his last transfer. He's way cool, a missionary beast, and super fun. Some highlights: Met an investigator named Tetsuya for the first time. He always wears a kimono and he's way cool. He basically asked us three questions: why are there so many churches, what's the end goal of this life, and how can I follow Jesus Christ more? We didn't know what to say we were so surprised. So we're probably going to set a baptism date with him next week. We have this investigator named Oma. He's crazy. We taught him for an hour about the gospel and then he taught us for an hour about his life's obsession, battleships. A recommendation for anyone looking to build a battleship: the Yamato class battleship is best. だって. We took an hour train to the middle of nowhere to visit a member who was having a hard time. It was pouring rain. We walked for half an hour in the wrong direction. By the time we got back on the train it was like I jumped into a swimming pool. We have a Nepalese investigator who comes to church every week. He really really really wants to learn about the gospel but the problem is he doesn't speak English, Japanese, or anything other than Nepalese mountain language. He was a legit serpa in Nepal. He also can't read so we can't just give him a Book of Mormon and say go for it. Google translate doesn't work for that reason either. But he's such a good person. We had a lot more great stuff happen but I'm out of time. Have a great week! Elder Callahan Sorry these pictures may be obscenely big, I'm emailing from my iPad today and can't figure out how to fix their sizes.
